The Wichita Eagle
The roots of the Wichita Eagle date to the earliest years of the city. The current publication is the result of a merger betwen the Wichita City Eagle and the Wichita Beacon, both established in 1872. The Wichita Eagle is now owned by the McClatchy Company, the third-largest newspaper company in the United States, a leading newspaper and internet publisher dedicated to the values of quality journalism, free expression and community service.
