Wichita State University
Mainstage plays are in Wilner Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays with a Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Second Stage plays are in the Welsbacher Theatre in the Hughes Metroplex Center at Oliver and 29th streets and the CAC Theatre on campus. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Readers Theatre will be in Wilner Lounge at 8:00 p.m. Saturdays and 2:00 p.m. Sundays.

Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center
Many productions throughout the year produced for children and adults. Productions are staged at either the Wichita Children’s Theatre or Century II Convention Center.

Wichita theatreMusic Theatre for Young People produces four full Broadway musicals during each school year. We also offer both summer and winter theatre camps, as well as special activities such as Girl Scout Theater Badge Workshops and Audition Workshops.

Orpheum Theater
The Orpheum Theatre in Wichita, Kansas, represents one of the finest remaining examples of the movie palace school of architecture which existed during the first part of the 1900’s. A grand old building in the tradition of vaudeville and early cinema. In 1982, the Orpheum was designated a National Landmark and placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now owned by the Orpheum Performing Arts Centre, Ltd. a non profit corporation, which is in the process of restoring this important part of our cultural and architectural heritage.

Wichita Community Theatre
Founded in 1923, Wichita Community Theatre is one of the oldest community theatres in the United States and the oldest in the Wichita area. WCT is an all volunteer theatre performing light comedy to drama, modern to classical including our annual Shakespeare production. Performances are held year round.
